Mapping Muslim Futures

This Tuesday, Creative Potluck co-hosted the event "Mapping Muslim Futures" in collaboration with the Muslim arts and culture collaborative MIPSTERZ!

Singer Sarah Khatami (@sarahkhatami) and poet Meryem Uzumcu (@cigerlikiz) performed. Filmmaker Aisha Amin (@aisha.mov) screened her her short film, Friday and shared her experiences directing and producing the piece.

In typical Potluck style, we also screened clips from various creative works on the theme of "Muslim futurism" which was then followed by a community discussion (see the dish list below!)

Special thanks to the @crownheightscafe in Brooklyn for hosting this event! Grab a coffee or a bite to eat from them the next time you're in town!
